I very much like your photos. Oftentimes I think b&w is a good choice. I've taken many photos of tiny towns like that one. Abandoned houses, farms, etc., are some of my favorites too.
No effort in clicking a box. Of course, we put the box there for them to click. Not that we ever thought someone would actually click it. We know we don't suck. They do, too, buuuut..., well, maybe they're funny people.

The snowfence photos in color are... yawn.
I am startled sometimes at how a scene I think might look good in b/w turns out. Startled in a good way.
Sometimes, though, it's a yawn, too.
