The whole point of free speech is not to make ideas exempt from criticism but to expose them to it.

Neal nails it for divine justification of herbal medicine.

In a post below concerning the moral authority of medicinal marijuana, Forum commenter Neal offers the following biblical verses to counter Bob Ellis's implicit assertion that THC for pain relief should only be used if it comes from big corporate drug companies:

"And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good." -- Genesis 1:11-12

And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. -- Genesis 1:29

So put that in your pipe and smoke it, Ellis.

Kudos, Neal. Welcome home, friend.

You guys are laughable! Laughably pathetic, that is.

So do you smoke meat in a doobie?

With all God says about not getting intoxicated and staying sober minded, you come up with this infantile attempt at justifying getting high?

Man, I've seen kindergartners employ better logic.

You guys would be a real laugh riot...if you weren't fostering a climate of lawlessness and drug use.

So you're admitting that Bob is out there in the post below advocating for Medical pot?

Does the Judge know this?

Hmmmm. We seem to have been joined by a Pusillanimous Pusbag. Another Adelstein wannabe. Could that be the same PP who advocates opposition to the nanny state on Dakota Wack College?

Ellis, medicine is not an intoxicant.

Are you asking me, Pat? If so, have you read your Jonathan Swift? Was he really arguing that the Brits should eat the Irish babies? You're a man of letters. Surely you recognize satire when you see it.

No Bob Ellis, you smoke meat in a smoker, usually with a hardwood like hickory or applewood. My faves though are mesquite and chokecherry branches.

Of course, I trust that you, being an adherent to the letter of Biblical law, are careful not to smoke and/or otherwise consume the meat of brother hog.

What's really laughable here is your advocacy for a theocratic corporatocracy driven by fear of the supernatural and the "end times" and administered by a police state, and yet still call yourself a freedom loving American.

There's no question in my mind, given a choice between you and Mr. Newland, which of the two of you should be locked up.

I've seen no advocacy here from Bob's keyboard. Some satire yes. Advocacy, no.
