Secret or mystery?

Without looking them up, I'm saying
that a secret is something one knows
...but is not telling.

While a mystery is something one knows
...but doesn't understand.

So humor me.

Is the economy a secret?

Or a mystery?

Or both?

Neither. The economy is a measurable phenomenon.

Economics as a science is maybe what you are talking about. And it too is neither. It is just so vast that it is imcomprehensible to any one person. Wisdom is understanding this reality and allowing the "invisible hand" to be unfettered.

I think the economy has black holes in it, Troy. I think there are secret parts.

Big secret parts.
