The whole point of free speech is not to make ideas exempt from criticism but to expose them to it.

Stupid barbaric motherfuckers

In 1937, at the behest of a cabal of industrial interests, Congress outlawed possession or cultivation of "marijuana" unless you had a license granted by the Treasury Dept., and were willing to pay an exorbitant tax on your sales. Of course, the feds were extremely parsimonious with the granting of licenses, and finally they quit issuing them at all.

That was the opening shot of America's longest war. Congress said cannabis made white women want to actually touch dark-skinned men, and made nice white boys carve up their mothers with meat cleavers.

All state legislatures followed suit. The ensuing 75 years has seen legislators claim that "marijuana" makes people 1) over-aggressive, 2) overly-passive, 3) lazy, and 4) over-active. They have asserted that the attempt to achieve all or any of these effects with cannabis is punishable by anything from a fine to life in prison. They have poured money into law enforcement operations to arrest pot smokers.

Their efforts have provided incentives for people to cultivate, possess, and market cannabis. Their efforts have made the most vicious people on earth richer than Bill Gates. The legislators and their thugs in law enforcement have given the dealers the money to achieve greater market penetration than Pepsi-Cola. They have created a wide-open market that assures that children have access to cannabis, which is, some may recall, what they said they were trying to avoid.

Stupid, barbaric motherfuckers.

Anyone who has such an all-consuming compulsion to promote intoxication and the distortion of reality has some really serious problems. A good pastor or Christian counselor could probably help.

And what could we say about a local fathead who enjoys putting people in jail for nothing?

Mr. Ellis is right, there should be no distortion of reality. Your posts should focus more on Biblical matters, such as talking snakes.
