One of the architects of the Kooiker censure has resigned. For many years I was quite fond of Jason. And, while I was disappointed in his last term with mayor Hanks, I wish him the best in whatever he pursues next.
We will hope for a speedy replacement for the job and one who will be less inclined to seek outside counsel. I believe the city attorney's office is staffed with four attorneys. That should be enough to handle Rapid City's legal load.
