The following announcement came from Bill Napoli, unofficial chair of the Wing Nuts meetings. Here's a chance for you to get up close to the next mayor of Rapid City.
Rapid City Mayoral Candidates will be our speakers tomorrow April 26th at the Eagles Lodge here in Rapid City. We are going to start the meeting right at 11:30 AM, as one of the candidates has a city council meeting to attend at 12:30 PM.
Mayoral candidates Pete Wernicke, Ron Weifenbach and Sam Kooiker will attend. We have not heard if Alan Hanks will be there tomorrow.
You will be given a chance to ask questions of the candidates and learn more about them and their plans if they are elected our next mayor.
We have been working hard scheduling the speakers for the local political races. We've been calling each candidate, (some several times), and inviting them to come speak to the Wing Nuts. Some of the candidates have been delighted to be invited, and some (how do you say it in politically correct speak?) have told her "NO WAY IN HELL WILL I COME." Their loss.
