The whole point of free speech is not to make ideas exempt from criticism but to expose them to it.

Only 168 shopping days until Sturgis 2011

So there I was sitting alongside the road minding everyone else's business and photographing it to boot. Out of 35000 or so images I shot in Spearfish Canyon during the Rally last summer, maybe a couple dozen are similar to these. So it's not like I got tired of it.

Aside from the fact that I don't at all mind looking at breasts, I'm kind of interested in the cultural phenomenon of flashing. Is it contempt? Or joie de vivre? Both? Something else? Any women out there? Did you know women don't blog anywhere nearly as ubiquitously as men? Is flashing a kind of compensation for not blogging?

You can see all 35000 shots at Sturgis.com.
