I mentioned below the discussion at Mt. Blogmore wherein a confused fellow calling himself DES was getting his arguments destroyed. I've extracted a couple of his more recent comments. Kevin Woster says he's going to delete these soon. This is what all prohibitionists think; it's just that most cover it up better.

All you weed whackos can cherry pick your “studies” just as I do mine. Mine are mostly done by pre-boomers which to me are persons that have ethics, morals, and accept responsibility for their actions. Just as the financial mess can be largely attributed to the baby boomers with their instant gratification, lack of responsibility, etc., etc. so will the acceptance of marijuana by the boomers and their popouts be another nail in the US coffin. The country can’t control drugs now and with states legalizing marijuana the country may as well give up and let the pot heads govern. Oh, I believe that has already happened!!!
Oh, one more thought: The Arabic countries went into medical marijuana from the 800 to 1800 hundreds. During that period they went from a people that came up with algebra to blowing themselves and anyone that disagrees with their mentality up. The word assassin I believe cames from Arabic. These were persons that were drugged up really well before sent on a mission. Another good recommendation for marijuana!!

He's obviously never met a pothead. The only pothead I've ever seen "blow himself up" was a guy that held his breath for about 2 minutes.
The world would be a pretty peaceful place if everyone was a pothead.
DES suffers from Post War Syndrome. DES (just like Bob Ellis) will never be right in the head about MJ. He/she has drank the refer madness propaganda koolaid for too many years. That kind of training will not be overcome with common sense or any other argument.
Luckily they can serve as examples of the real victims of the war on drugs (which was lost a long time ago). They ought to qualify for government retraining of some sort.

Oregon's pharmaceutical board dropped marijuana to a schedule II drug recently. It was more a symbolic gesture, yet speaks volumes.
A Schedule I Controlled Substance is -
1. High potential for abuse, AND
2. No currently accepted medical use. AND
3. Lack of accepted safety for use.
All three criteria must be met to be placed in Schedule I.
When marijuana was moved into Schedule I in 1970, it was intended only as a provisional classification. From a 1970 letter by Asst. Secretary of Health Roger Egeberg: "Since there is still a considerable void in our knowledge of the plant and effects of the active drug contained in it, our recommendation is that marijuana be retained within schedule I at least until the completion of certain studies now underway to resolve the issue."
The results of this study came back in 1972, with the recommendation that marijuana be decriminalized, because it did not meet the abuse potential requirement.
The Nixon administration ignored the recommendation, and here we are today.

Where there's smoke there's fire. When someone takes such high opposition to something, it usually hits pretty close to (their) home.
What if Ellis and DES are closet potheads?
Seeing more stories like this one in the Montana MSM. Great Falls and Rapid City are like clones; ip will find something from the Tribune and put it up.
