I'm afraid the poor guy's brain is going to fizz, if it hasn't already.
He keeps having to work in his agenda wherever and whenever he can.
Take this recent rant for example.
1) That America is being transformed by the Progressive Movement from a Constitutional Republic based on the Natural Rights legal foundation to a police/nanny state based on democratic socialism/Marxism/communism, or in short...the Progressive Movement.
2). That the process to accomplish the transformation is the removal of the Biblical Christian worldview, and replace it with the secular humanist worldview.
3). The process is being conducted in the government's schools.
4). The ACLU is a key enforcer of the anit-Christian agenda that is to destroy America by breaking down its moral foundation. This was accomplished in 1947 when they changed the First Amendment from one protecting the Christian religious natural rights, to a First Amendment that protected immoral speech and behaviors that is creating the chaos and problems that allows the government to say, it is now time for the state to take over.
5). Good-bye liberty, in walks tyranny.
6). Pat Powers' 5 year birthday for his blog marked the beginning of my journey to understand that the Progressive RINOs in the GOP hated conservatives as much, if not more, than the Progressives in the Democrat Party.
So, without name calling or ridicule, is there any way we can talk this man down before he vaporizes himself? I know... it may be too much to ask, but let's give it a shot. One thing I've noticed about us Forumpians is that we can be downright reasonable and inclusive if we put our minds to it. The question is, can Sibby?
Sibby can't be reasonable. Let him fizz.
ReplyDeleteExcuse me. Let him vaporize.
ReplyDeleteHe'll never get it that America is a gooey little mixture of democracy and representative republic, which has been a tasty recipe for liberty for more than 200 years.
Sibby thinks then end of the world is right around the corner. He's ready to go and has made peace with his maker.
He wants the rest of us to make peace with HIS maker too, even if he and others like him have to force this peace upon others.
He doesn't understand freedom of religion. He thinks it means to worship as HE (Sibby, not God) chooses.
That we have all not fallen lock-step behind him has him befuddled.
Let him vaporize. He and others like him have taken the Repubican Party and turned it into a bunch of ranting lunatics.
Moderate Republicans are sick of it and are taking back the party. And they will succeed.
And, if splitting the party means Democrats get elected, so be it. We've survived them before and we'll survive this one.
And, with luck maybe, just maybe moderate Republicans will be able to work with moderate Democrats to accomplish something of value in Obama's administration.
Why bother giving the credence of recognition of his existence to this bunkerpeepee?
ReplyDeleteWhat Bob said...
ReplyDeleteWhat's a bunkerpeepee?
ReplyDeleteI was curious about the 1947 death of the first amendment, so I clicked on that link. This refers to what supposedly is the first use (by an evil ACLU lawyer)of the phrase "separation of church and state." This event marked the death of the first amendment because, the argument goes, the phrase does not appear in the Constitution. A curious argument indeed. Here are some other phrases that don't appear in the Constitution yet they have (insidiously I guess, at least according to Sibby) crept into our lexicon as shorthand phrases for concepts that the Constitution does indeed embrace if not embody: federalism; states' rights; right to know; separation of powers. This crap about "the phrase doesn't appear in the constitution" so the concept or principle doesn't exist is just that---------crap. I have no clue why people like Sibby can't grasp that.
ReplyDeleteWayne, good. These are points which should be relatively easy for Sibby to concede, and in doing so, win some credibility back.
ReplyDelete"Let him vaporize. He and others like him have taken the Repubican Party and turned it into a bunch of ranting lunatics.

Mike,
Thanks for backing up my point that RINOs hate conservatives. And how Fleming got the "who is inclusive" backwards.
"This event marked the death of the first amendment because, the argument goes, the phrase does not appear in the Constitution."
ReplyDeleteWayne,
The analysis goes deeper than that. The phrase is in a letter that supported religious freedoms, not used to deny religions freedoms as it has been used since the 1947 Everson ruling. And I got a pile of research that I hope to get posted that also shows how Everson attacked state's rights. Look for it tomorrow.
And I like to give you guys credit for using your names and not being a flock of anonymous chickens.
What Bob and Michael said. And Rahm Emanuel, too.
ReplyDelete"Sibby thinks then end of the world is right around the corner. He's ready to go and has made peace with his maker."
ReplyDeleteI don't think it is going to happen until after the Muslums take over Israel. Perhaps then you people will realize that Jesus is the Messiah.
Great post Wayne. You missed "self protection" in those phrases. I really didn't expect you to cite a phrase applicable to the 2nd Amendment.
ReplyDeleteOf course many of the same folks who don't understand "separation of church and state" do understand "self protection." Me? I like them both.
And, Steve, I don't hate you. Nobody here hates you. Many of us just don't agree with you. There's a difference.
A lot of times I don't agree with Bill. Sometimes when I don't agree with Bob. Sometimes I don't agree with Wayne. And, you should have seen what Larry Kurtz was saying about me the other day...
Disagreeing with you does not constitute hatred. Declaring it so, does not make it so.
Worship as you choose,in your church with your pastor. And, I'll do the same. And, when our grandchildren meet in public school, they won't have to fight about whose prayer will be spoken at the beginning of class.
And, we will all live together in peace and harmony. Won't that be nice?
Mu saying this might drive people nuts but Steve is really a decent guy when you meet him in person. Not above poking a little fun at his own position with a twinkle in his eye. I disagree with him on most but there are some areas where we agree. Imagine that.
ReplyDeleteDo I recognize SDSU nursing student extrordinair Erin Nemec in the photo over Mr. Sibson's left shoulder?
Yes! Good eye, Nick. The original photo, before I cropped and photoshopped it, was shot at your house. And yes, Sibby was fun to be with that day as were you. It was a good day all around. Thanks for having us all out to the farm, brotherman.
ReplyDeleteMike--I have to confess that I'm not familiar with the term "self-protection" and still am not sure that it accurately carries the concept of the second amendment. That said, you will be surprised to learn that I believe very strongly in the right of citizens to own firearms because I don't want there to be a time when the only people with guns are people in the government.
ReplyDeleteWayne,
ReplyDeleteI am pleasantly surprised. Should they be able to own bazookas?
I don't think that the second amendment prohibits Congress from regulating or even prohibiting the sale and ownership of operable bazookas. Perhaps an inconsistent extension of my beliefs but then, as Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr. said, "The life of the law has not been logic. It has been experience."
ReplyDeletePole-vaulting over mouse turds; maybe were just angry for all the wrong reasons.
ReplyDeletedemocracynow.org if you're not angry enough.
I'm sorry if you didn't see my posted apology, Mike.
"Worship as you choose,in your church with your pastor. And, I'll do the same. And, when our grandchildren meet in public school, they won't have to fight about whose prayer will be spoken at the beginning of class.

Gee, can't they take turns? Perhaps they can learn something from each other.
Peace and harmony will have to wait until the return of Jesus Christ. The Islamic fascists hates the Jews, and they are no kinder to Christian than the Secular Progressives are.
Steve--in all sincerity I am genuinely disappointed. I thought we were going to have a serious discussion about the establishment clause and instead I got evangelical yadayada. There are two religions in the world that insist that they are the only true paths--Christianity and Islam. To those religions anything like the establishment clause is evil, and in fact some Muslim nations have won the battle in the same way you would like to. To the rest of us the establishment clause gives us a little solace from the tyranny of the majority.
ReplyDelete"There are two religions in the world that insist that they are the only true paths--Christianity and Islam"
ReplyDeleteDon't forget about that those of the religion of the flying spaghetti monster can get mighty pushy too...even worse than those who believe in the omnipotence of the flying Kolache monster.
