The Repubs are making a big deal over Stephanie's asking for a mailing list compiled by the State. Should we have to pay to use these lists? Haven't we paid for them already? What do you think, candidates? Direct mail entrepreneurs? Anyone? Anyone... Howie?

I don't understand this flap at all. As one who presides over mailing lists, the accusations about SHS trying to freeload a list seems very contrived to me. Although I am not currently involved in her campaign, I know the routine. A staff member inquires about available lists. If there is a nominal charge, such as $100, campaigns usually pay it without question, understanding that some time and expense is involved in producing the lists. What other great, deep secrets could be involved are hard to imagine, unless you are one of those who sleeps with with a weapon duct-taped to your body in fear that Obama's gun fairy will come in the night and try to take it.
A question for a member of the'Daschle Mafia.' Do fellow party campaigns give out donor lists freely to each other? Would Tim Johnson provide his campaign donation list to SHS without anything in return?
It's not unheard of, Thad, but not automatic either. Most of the names are available via 3rd party anyway. Bottom line, as in business, it's the relationship that matters, not just the list.
Just snakes hissing at other snakes! I'd say dogs yapping at other dogs, but I like dogs.
Seems that SHSandlin should be somewhat endeared to the repugs for supporting their health Care Position.
Just keep politicking, it's a party thing... nothing personal.
Sprechen Deutch?
The link in the post leads me to an error page.
Try it now, Bob.
Hi Bill, yep; PP blocked both of my computers.
IP, How come? I thought he only blocked Bob?
Yow. I can see how that would get the axe. PP could get sued for libel, as could we here. Better have hard proof on that stuff, IP. Do you? If not, maybe you should chill until you do. Just to be safe for all of us, and for you, I'm taking your post down. You're not banned, of course. I'm just being careful. If you have proof, run it down, ok?
p.s. Using your real name will go a long way toward establishing your cred here. Especially with "news" like that. Also recall that Mike Sanborn is the reporter here, not me. If you have real news, you should talk to him about it.
The standard is that whatever gets posted is PROVABLY TRUE. Have the proof before you post, post the proof. Otherwise if it can damage someone's livelihood or their good name, it does not appear here.
Thanks Bill for policing this. You made the right call.
Gentlemen: ip is all about words; and, the way I choose them are very important, especially to me. Thank you for being on guard against falsehoods.
It is provable that ip is very close to a source who has had access to the email records of the Munsterman term(s).
Bill, ip just wants to be thought of as a Lesbian.
the way I choose them "is" very important to me. Sometimes, I'm wrong.
Lesbian it is, then, IP. You thus prefer the female pronouns, I assume?
Thank you, Bill; you should know, however, that I told Oakes sometime ago it is ok to call me Larry.
Bob, you have my permission to share what you know about me with Bill.
Got it. So either pronoun gender set will do?
BTW, IP, did you see the photoshop work I did some months back transforming Mr. Oakes into "Artie Oakley?" I think he likes it, but won't say so.
Yep, I had to laugh like hell..
Posting this with my 8330; it might look funny.
It looks normal, IP... (except for the truncated ellipsis and the semicolon ;^)
I'm not sure I've ever seen someone type a semicolon on a Blackberry before!
Yeah, this conversation by this time is way out of context and, with the the jerked post, kind of making me wonder, "WTF did I miss!?!
Someone needs to FB me.
As far as the topic of this post, swap the lists and go on. The most inconsequential disputes like this just muddies the whole picture. Damn, just get on with!
