My good friend Bob Peel died Sunday after a long battle with sarcoidosis. He was "The Miller Guy" for many years, while managing Premium Beverage here in Rapid City.
His passing makes the world an emptier place. In poor health for as long as I've known him, Bob always appeared to look at the bright side. In my experience, he never nursed a grouch or held a grudge.
He was a promotional genius who logged 20 years with Miller Brewing Company and eight more with Rapid City's Premium Beverage and a few more with Rapid City's Fisher Beverage. Competition made him smile. His wife Pat, and daughters Caitlyn and Laura gave him his greatest joy and he bragged on them at every opportunity.
I will miss him.
