Susie, my wife, friend and partner has illustrated a childrens' book for the SD Historical Society and will be signing copies at the Journey, Borders, and Prairie Edge over the next few weeks. Here are the posters. This is a pretty historic deal actually. The writer, Charles Eastman was a pretty interesting character. Co-founder of the Boy Scouts of America, friend of Teddy Roosevelt, physician to the Indians at Wounded Knee.
One of the best illustrators in the country. And her sense of humor shines through. I still think she should revive the fat ladies. Some of the cleverest stuff ever to come out of South Dakota. I still have a very faded avacado fat lady cup. The caption has long ago been worn off and I've forgotten it.

Good eye, Nick! Guys, I just shared your comments with the artist and told her as how she had a little secret Political Blog Fan Club. She thinks we're all pretty funny. I wonder if I can talk Powers into putting one of these posters up on his blog. He'll probably want some money or something... Let's see if I can maybe cut a sweet deal.
