AMA Reverses Marijuana Position

The American Medical Association, the nation's, largest, oldest and most respected medical organization today reversed it's position on medical marijuana in a report released today. Read it here.

I wish the Pat Powers of the world would take a peek. Now that the AMA has determined that marijuana has medicinal value, will you now join in and speak out for the decriminalization of this herb that works? C'mon Pat, recognize when you're whipped.

So this was the trade-off! Not bad horse trading.

I am not sure of what you mean, Thad. What is the trade-off?

Your post could be construed either as straightforward admiration of a shift in someone's policy or as cynicism.

It's hard for me to know which it is by the words in your comment.

I need to get more precise.

The AMA endorsed Obama and the Democrats health plan. Giving their support will allow federal passage of medical marijuana.

Hope that helps.

That's what I hoped you meant, and I think you're right.
