Hey Cory H., looks like they've been listening to George McGovern afterall.

The new buzz word for "public option" around DC is "Medicare E." (As in "E" for "everybody.") And now, people are finally starting to get it, it seems. Too bad they don't read our blogs, Cory. They could have had a much easier time of it the last few months.

Anyway, I'm ready to challenge Sanborn's bet that Congress won't pass meaningful Health Care Reform with a "Medicare E" option before Christmas. Whaddya bet, Mike?

  1. Medicare E—brilliant! Much better marketing term than "public option." Love it, love it, love it!

[Snort—and today's word verification Word of the Day: boffings. I kid you not. Pee-Wee says, "Scream real loud!" :-D ]

  2. Calling an Edsel a Cadillac, doesn't make it a Cadillac.

  3. Calling an Escalade a Cadillac doesn't make it any more than an overpriced Suburban, either.

  4. I'll let you define "meaningful." But, I also think we should include a deficit neutral clause, because that is what President Obama promised, right Bill?

I love the smell of bacon in the morning.
