Autism, Pain and Mary Jane

Marinol and marijuana are not the same. There is a compelling story of how medical marijuana is bringing normalcy to the lives of an autistic child and his family. I encourage you to read it here.

Marie Myung-Ok Lee is a teacher at Brown University. She's the author of the novel, "Somebody's Daughter" and is a winner of the Richard Margolis Award for Social Justice Reporting.

Part One of the story of her son and marijuana is here. And Part Two is here.

I have no experience with autism. I do have experience with raising a child with a chronic health problem. And, if marijuana would have lessened my daughter's suffering, I'd have been growing it in my backyard, legal or not.

What a great story and a wonderful use for plain old simple hemp weed.

Too bad its such an evil plant that we've had to spend so much time and energy into eliminating it from as much of the world as we can possibly reach.

Obviously its a bad plant evidenced by all the people we have in jail for being associated with it.
