Mr. Alonzo, am I naked?

My friend Leonard Running is a puppeteer,
and he does this great, strange, little finger puppet show.

In the show, Mr. Alonso is a wizard, and Bebe is a fuzzy
little um...creature. There's also a French weasel
friend named Charles (prounounced "sharl")...
but I'm getting ahead of myself.

I mostly want to add the pie chart above for your
consideration (and to see if I did it right) and to say
also, that a Mr.(actually Dr.) Alonso (aka "Jose") is
also the leader of the Homestake Mine's
underground lab efforts.

We'll be talking about both Mr. Alonsos here from time
to time. (Come to think of it, maybe Leonard's wizard
character's name is really "Alenzo". Oh well, close
enough for finger puppets.)

For now, suffice it to say that I think my friend Leonard
might be onto something in his usual peculiar way,
and that even Dr. Jose Alonzo just might someday
think so too.

Hint: It has to do with things
popping in and out of nowhere.

Update: Some of you may or may not notice
a couple of edits to my post above. First, I corrected
the spelling of Jose Alonso's name ("s" not "z")
and second, I took out the part about his winning
the Nobel Prize, because he hasn't yet. That was
either deep confusion on my part, or profound prescience.
Time will tell, I suppose. Anyway...

  1. Ok, the circle represents everything the physicists think there is. Note that "atoms" only accounts for 4% of the "stuff." In fact, as far as we knew up to about 100 years ago, it was the only real "stuff" there was.

Virtually all of classical physics is based on how stuff made out of atoms behaves as the atoms interact.
