Since every time I get arrested I have to change careers, I've been photographing small-town middle school athletic events recently.

Tuesday I shot 7th/8th grade girls basketball in Belle Fourche, who hosted Newell. The shot at left was taken as the final buzzer sounded. Swisshhhh!

That shot saved the Newell 7th graders from a 25-0 shutout. Had I been thinking, I would have kept my camera on #5. The crowd roared. She recognized the irony, and her beaming smile was a sight to see.
